I had a dream last night. I was some kind of detective of supernatural things, and there was a case involving a girl I knew (in my dream) who was wanting to lose her virginity, so she made a list of these guys she could lose it to. I was on this list, and so was this boy band.
In the next "scene"- (my dreams seem to flash forward like a movie) I found her in a warehouse hanging from the ceiling in some kind of cocoon made of wax paper. A doctor then appeared (I know he was a doctor because he was wearing a lab coat!) and told me we had to get her stomach x-rayed.
In the next scene the doctor showed me the results of the x-ray; she had some kind of alien fetus creature inside her. The doctor explained that she's not going to give birth to it; it's going to rip out of her body like in the film, "Alien". The only way to save her life was for the doctor to perform an abortion.
In the next scene I caught one of the boy band aliens in the act with a groupie in the alley, and pulled a gun on him.
I don't remember anything more about this dream, so I must have woken up at this point.
I don't know about the...virginity list (there are a lot of "WTF" moments in my dreams. I'm not even into virgins) but I think the plot involving the boy band would work well if I was writing a television show like 'Supernatural' and needed a filler episode script; I mean, they don't need to be aliens, they could be some kind of mythological monster.

I'm Starting a Dream Diary
Dream diaries / journals tend to be made by people who are looking for very deep meanings in their dreams, perhaps prophecies or something. I don't really believe in dreams having that kind of power. I once did, but I've had enough nightmares involving people I know which never came to fruition that I don't think dreams tell me anything meaningful at all. At this point I think dreams are just a way for our brains to do something while almost everything else is in sleep mode.
So the reason I am writing down my dreams is much less grand than the reasons others might have; I am a pretty creative person and my imagination tends to go wild when I dream. I usually have a pretty fair recollection of what I last dreamed, and sometimes even remember bits from the multiple dreams I've had while asleep. I think I should take advantage of this. I used to write them down into text files but as HDs fail I've lost a lot of logs.
I'm starting this journal as an easy way for me to record the stories my brain comes up with when I'm asleep, with the idea that when I get more involved in my writing career I can go through this blog and find some ideas for future films or novels.
